The Galway Lions Club Thank Your Party

Saturday, July 29th, from 11-5 pm
The Galway Lions Club is hosting a Thank You Party in celebration of the community's 35 years of support on Saturday, July 29th, from 11-5 pm at the Galway Lions Building, 2167 County Route 45 in Galway. The event is free and open to the entire community, both children and adults. There will be soccer, volleyball, Frisbee toss, softball, face painting, a demonstration by the Galway Karate Club, a visit from a friendly therapy dog, live music and food. Download a flyer.

 

Galway Youth Commission Free Learn To Swim Program

For kids entering K-5th grades. Held at the Glenville YMCA free of charge for youth in the Town Of Galway, Village Of Galway and in the towns that participate in the Galway Youth Commission Programs. Classes are Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm:

• Session 1: July 10th - 21st

• Session 2: July 24th - August 4th

Area farmers report that they are bailing and getting hay in. If you’re in the market for first-cut hay contact these farmers, all listed under the Farm & Garden directory.
• Anderson Acres at 52 Western Ave. in West Charlton: bailing now, has square bales, round bales and silage, 518-882-6052.
• Donnandale Farm at 2287 Donnan Rd. in Galway: will have hay in late June, first and second cutting, round bales and square bales, 518-813-8024.
• Smiths Farm at 4561 Jockey St. in Ballston Spa: cutting hay this week, 518-882-6598.

Chatfield Museum of Greenfield History open

The Town of Greenfield Historical Society Chatfield Museum of Greenfield History, which houses a collection of artifacts and items reflecting the town’s history, is now open on Fridays, 4-6 pm and Saturdays, 1-3 pm. It is located near Greenfield Town Park in Middle Grove.
